- ENGINE: Manual 4-speed stick shift. 2000 cc engine with freeway gearing so she can get up and go, even on hills. Mechanically perfect with completely rebuilt engine, all new fuel lines, power brakes, and new clutch
- STYLING: Original Dakota Beige exterior, with white vinyl upholstery, white wood laminate flooring and custom curtains. Includes the original cabinets, fold-out table, swivel captain’s chair, and original German finishing details.
- MODERN TOUCHES: 3-point seat belts brand-new interior and Bluetooth stereo that connects to all phones, and several plug-ins for phone and tablet charging.
- CAMPING-READY: Working refrigerator, sink, pre-plumbed propane 2-burner stove, hookups for city water and electrical supply, and complete set of camping equipment, including camp chairs, pots, pans, silverware, plates, lanterns, bug screen, etc.
- ACCOMMODATIONS: Sleeps up to 4 adults (two in the pop top and two on the bottom foldout Z bed.)

Chuck and his wife offer an incredible opportunity to experience a VW Van just as it was in 1978! GF and I camped 3 nights at Moro Canyon State Park and had an absolute blast. Van is in great condition, everything works, and comes with all the equipment you need for a retro adventure in Southern California.
This bus is awesome, and renting from Chuck was so easy. We had the best time!
Beautiful trip with Chuck today, just took it out for a day trip with friends through So-Cal and the vibes were truly immaculate! Beautiful bus could only be matched by the beauty of the time, and with no problems on the road, it was a dream! Definitely reccomend this experience to anyone looking for one of these classics!
We drove the Westfalia south and camped oceanfront at Doheny Beach. Step aside, Disneyland: this might be the most classic Southern California experience one could possibly have. The hosts were easy to work with on both pickup and drop off.
