Please contact us through our request form with the dates, times, and location you would like to have one of our vehicles for your event or promotion. We have done countless weddings, engagement shoots, influencer collabs, business promotions, trade shows, and special events with our stunning vehicles. They can be used for background props, displays, product sales, or just to draw some attention to your experience or location. Our gorgeous classic vehicles will make your event or promotion shine.
Custom Self-Drives for Coastal Cruising, Getaways, Special Occasions
Our self-drive experiences are contactless and seamless. This is the easiest and least expensive option for wandering with our wheels!
First, browse our collection, select your favorite vehicle, and click on that vehicle’s photo to view its individual listing page. There, you’ll find detailed descriptions of the vehicle, a full gallery of photos, a how-to video, pricing options, and direct links to the vehicle featured on each of our trusted car sharing platforms. Click the link for the booking platform you prefer, select your dates, and book your classic! For self-drive, book through Turo (if the driver is age 30 or older … if not, contact us directly). For a chauffeured experience or to have your vehicle delivered for production/photo shoots, contact us directly. For a self-drive adventure with our VW Westfalia camper, book through Outdoorsy.
Once your rental date rolls around, you’ll pick up and drop off your chosen vehicle at our location. We’ll discuss any details about your reservation through the booking platform you reserved with.

We specialize in making your production experience with our vehicle as easy and hassle-free as possible. If you are a professional film or production company and can provide a certificate of insurance for vehicle use (COI), please contact us through our request form for a quote.
As part of your inquiry, please include your desired dates, times, and location for your chosen vehicle. Delivery to the production location may be arranged for an additional fee, pending driver availability. An on-location driver/vehicle handler may also be arranged for a fee, pending availability.

- Don’t rent a stick shift car. Rent one of our automatic cars instead.
- Book your chosen car as a Chauffeured rental, which means it will come with a driver.
- If your companion drives stick shift, you may add them to your rental as a second driver through your selected booking platform.
Check our vehicle listing on our rental partner’s website. Typically 200 miles are included with each rental, though there are exceptions.
Please keep in mind that the self-drive rental period is 24 hours. If you exceed that, you will be charged for an extra 24-hour period (as stated in our rental partners’ contract that you agree to in order to rent the car). That said, we understand the whims of California crowds and traffic. If you are running late, please text us to let us know and we will do our best to work with you if the car isn’t needed right away for another rental.
Yes, our cars are old, but we pride ourselves on keeping them in safe and functional working order. They do work a little differently than modern cars. If you’re having trouble getting it started, stay calm and call or text us and we’ll walk you through the process of getting the vehicle back in gear.

- First, know that most personal drivers insurance doesn’t cover drive-share rentals. For that reason, we strongly recommend that Beach Gypsy Classics customers opt-in to the protection programs offered by our trusted booking partners, such as Turo and DriveShare. If you choose to decline their protection program, please check with your auto insurance to confirm that they cover drive-share rentals.

Out-of state trips require our personal approval in advance of your departure. Please contact us if you’re renting our VW Westfalia Camper Bus and have your sights set on a multi-day camping trip to destinations far and wide.
Nope. Not even a little. Our vehicles must remain within the USA. Taking one of our vehicles across the border (southern or northern) voids any and all coverage and will result in losing your security deposit and possible litigation. Our vehicles are not permitted outside US borders.
